Puregreen Template not showing right column only on main page

Hi, just installed a new 1.3.9f, made some customizations, loaded the template and somehow the right column has disappeared on the main page whether you are logged in or not. The column shows fine on the lightgreen template from 12designs. I believe this may have happened after I tried installing the UTF8 spanish pack.

I've tried removing the template files and reinstalling but it does the same.

Any ideas?

admin>tools>layout boxes controller
go to the bottom of the screen and click reset. That should do it.

The problem was when I added a product into the "Specials" category... this made the right column on the main page disappear.

On another new install, the right column disappears after adding any products... I can add categories, but as soon as I add a product, the main page right column disappears


This is getting upsetting... help please!?!?

If I set "Show New Products on Main Page" to Off or 0, the main page shows the right column sideboxes but nothing shows underneath the oening message.

Removed the template files and reinstalled other templates, reset layout boxes again and installed template fresh... so far so good...ugggg

Have you tried contacting the template's designer and asking about the issues you've encountered?
