download links missing after upgrade

hi! can anyone help me out with my download links issue?

first of all I have 1.3.x - I can't remember since I installed it via fantastico and upgraded to 1.3.9f .......

I have a store and I used digital files for downloads, everything is perfect until I upgraded, downloads are fully functional.

now after upgrade when I and my friends tested to order/purchase in my store, everything is ok, but not the download links, it's not showing. there is no link to download.

then I tried to make a new product with download link, still the same problem. the links to download is not working and it shows 0 byte instead.

please help! thanks in advance.

Those symptoms suggest that the file doesn't exist in the expected folder.
Normally you would put the files in the /download/ folder if your configure.php file doesn't specify a different location for it.

You should have a green dot next to all valid filenames in Admin->Catalog->Downloads Manager.
If this particular file does have the green dot, then that means that the /download/ folder is wrong in your /includes/configure.php file. It needs to match what you've set for downloads in your /admin/includes/configure.php file.

everything is green.... and actually I've done both editing the config.. but when I checked the /includes/configure.php it's not set, I guess it didn't save when I do the first time due to write permission.
