    Default Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.

    I know, there are several threads with similar titles.

    • Zencart 1.3.9f installed on live site and sandbox site.
    • Database and zencart files are identical with the exception of database names and paths within the configure.php files.
    • USPS and UPS shipping modules installed.


    All is working just fine in both sites except on random occasions.....

    • I am testing in the sandbox and all is fine.
    • The address being used is my home address.
    • Order placed and completed as expected.
    • 2nd order placed and cannot be completed due to the "Sorry, not shipping to your area......"
    • check live site and all is OK
    • Maintenance mode true or false makes no difference
    • Usually, the issue is "self-correcting" if you wait long enough, but makes for "Grumpy" customers.


    Customers have also reported the issue on random basis. I first thought that it might be due to USPS or UPS servers being offline but the likelihood that both being offline at the same time is very low.

    I suspect that the issue will have 'self corrected' by the time I receive a response, but suggestions for troubleshooting during the next time it happens would be appreciated.

    I was able to make the issue go away by emptying the cart and starting over.

    Just able to reproduce the issue. Adding a downloadable item to the cart in addition to a shipped product appears to cause the

    "Sorry, we're not shipping to your area" error message.

    What am I missing in setup?

    I meant to add before the editing timer got me
    • Free downloadable items do not cause the issue.
    • Paid downloadable items do cause the issue when combined with a shipped item in the same cart.

    Sounds like you have your Download Product setup incorrectly where you have marked it as
    Product is Virtual: YES ... this should be NO
    Always Free Shipping: YES ... this should be NO

    Downloads know they are Free Shipping based on the filename added to the Attribute ...

    That eliminated the issue. I called myself reading the book several times and missed that part. Sometimes we are our worst enemy.
