    Default customer email addresses

I have a couple of customers who like to use a "+" in their email address, but the store software does not allow them to do so normally.

Is there any way to change this so that it will accept the "+" in email addresses?

The latest version of Zen Cart allows that.

I use 1.38a -- that is the latest version, isn't it?

If it isn't, is there an easy way to upgrade without losing the mods I have installed?
