Default Customers can't pay Paypal IPN

    Hi,

I've just switched over to zen cart and am using the paypal IPN payment module. In my previous shopping cart I was using Paypal website standard with no problems at all.

I've set up paypal IPN and some customers are able to pay without no problems, but some European customers can't seem to pay. They go to a page on Paypal that says something about the merchants address doesn't match and they need to contact us.

Now, I've looked at their addresses that they are entering and they appear to be correct. However, one has a city of luxembourg, a state as luxembourg, and the country set as luxembourg. This is not actually wrong if you check the districts etc of luxembourg.

What is the reason for Paypal rejecting these customers and how can I stop it?

    Thank you!

That's a setting inside your PayPal account, under the Profile tab, which you can set to have it allow payments from customers in other countries.

You may also need to adjust the "Address Override" and "Shipping Address Requirements" settings in your ZC PayPal WPS module configuration screen.

Or even better yet, use the more contemporary Express Checkout module, and you'll likely not have that issue.

    HI,

Yes, I re-looked at the Paypal IPN settings in my admin and I changed the Address Override setting to zero. One customer who was unable to pay before has now processed their payment with no problems!

The other setting"Shipping Address Requirements?" I don't think I fully understand, but have that set to 2 which means "If set to 2 your customer will be required to provide a shipping address."

Does that mean they have to provide it in Paypal? and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each option?

    Thanks!
