Default "__gat is undefined" error from Google Analytics code

Has anyone successfully fixed this issue related to the Google Analytics code?
In IE v8, I believe this is causing the dreaded security warning pop-up as I transition from non-secured to secured pages.

It has nothing to do with your Analytics code.... Google's code is secured, rather you have a different element which is NOT secured inside of HTTPS pages.

Thanks Melanie, but it's my bad. I made the mistake of putting my https: url in my trusted site list.
I took it out and the warnings stopped and, as far as I can see in IE, all of my SSL pages are devoid of any non-secured elements.

    Thank you,
    Stephen

p.s. but the Google code issue is still bugging me. I thought I had it fixed, as most of the errors are a result of response timing in the code, but I guess not.
