Template included but not available in template selection pulldown

Hi there,

This is a total noob question so please forgive me if it seems a little retarded. The problem I am having is as follows.

I got a copy of the Future Zen template and installed it locally using Xammp 1.4.16 and Zen Cart v1.3.7.1- full -patched. (Recommended setup from e-start your webstore book.) The template showed up in template selection and I could select it right away once the future zen folder was copied into includes.

However when I try to do the same on my website space at Siteground using Zen Cart 1.3.9d the template doesn't show up in the template selection options. In fact come to that nor does the template_default template that appears in the includes folder. All I have is Classic and the permissions on that folder are the same as these others that don't show.

Does anybody have any idea what might be going on? I was looking at this thread which is incredibly useful to me and was hoping to get the Future Zen template installed so I can start playing with the CSS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

template_default won't appear in the pulldown for template selection.

Make certain you copied includes/templates/futture_zen/template_info.php to your live site. That's what makes it available under tools>template selection.

Thanks Afo for the speedy reply, you're right, it wasn't seeing the php file because it had unzipped with an extra directory in the directory structure. Problem solved, much obliged mate, cheers.

Easy mistake to make and easy to fix! Glad it's sorted now.
