    Default SQL statements

Is there an easy way to strip out all the SQL statements from PHP files ? I would like to review the SQL statements for performance reasons and ensure that they are written in the most optimal way.

The SQL in Zen Cart core code is already largely optimized.

Are you talking about custom code you're writing? If so, you should be able to find the SQL in your custom files because it's usually long strings inside quotation marks. Besides, one would expect you'd be familiar with your custom code enough to identify your custom SQL statements.

I don't have UNIX skills. Does someone have any UNIX command to strip out the SQL from my files ?

I know the data model pretty well, so I should be able to strip out the SQL statements.

There's no magic formula for stripping out SQL statements from PHP files.

If you're concerned about what your programmer wrote for you, ask them to show you what they did. Or study their code yourself.
