Admin page menu bar gone!

Hello All,

Just done a fresh installation of zen cart 1.3.9g.

After making all the change to the folder name and configure file. I have got in to my admin area. For whatever reason, the menu bar across the top is gone! instead, a list of option in hypenlinks run down the page. What could the cause of this?

Most likely missing files from your /admin/ (or renamed) folder, or incomplete files ... both a result of a bad FTP upload. Or maybe overly restrictive file permissions?

I have uploaded the whole admin directory again which was a fresh download as well but still got the same problem. Any clue DrByte? Many thanks

I have solved the problem by change CHMOD on the include folder. Everything comeback live! I found another thread about this issue, and it was answered by our very knowlege DrByte himself!!! This fourm Rock!!!

Now I have another problem. Nothing related to the menu bar issue, but something about MySQL database migration.

I use 1and1 as my hosting provider. I have recently upgraded to SQL5.0 and wanting to move all my old data from my MySQL4.0 to the new 5.0 database. I have Chinese, Japanese and English in my data file. I have tried to export the .sql file in different language setting such as UTF-8, ISO. But I am still getting scrambled char everywhere. UTF-8 should support all my Chinese and Japanese char. I rememeber when loading any of my zen shop pages, the browser will always use UTF-8 and it work fine to display. I have ring 1and1 many times, their tech staff is very friendly but don't seem to make to problem go away. So i am needing help from DrByte or anyone out there. I would be so greatful.
