Adding $5 tire recycling fee to cart

as i tire retailer i need to add a recycling charge of $5 per tire to a customer's purchase. i haven't been able to find a way to do this in zencart that will add it automatically for a tire purchase in the shopping cart.

i have other non-tire products so it would need to be a function of that category only.

has anyone worked this out already or have any tips?

just read some more on this, it would also only apply to tires sold and shipped within BC.

anyone want to write some code?

I haven't used it. You'd have to figure out how to make it zone-specific.
