Default Do i need to upgrade from 1.3.8a?

    Hi
I havent seen any documentation to explain why i NEED to upgrade from 1.3.8a?

I have applied all the security upgrades including adding htaccess file to all folders so that code can not be run from any image folders or folders with low access permissions.

Why do i NEED to upgrade? I have a huge database.. plus my template is not compatible with 1.3.9x

Is 1.3.8a a significant security threat to my site?

My site has many contributions which do not appear to be compatible with 1.3.9a. Also i use simple seo urls... and they are very well indexed in Google I am terrified when i upgrade my URLS will be rewritten differently and then i lost all my pages in google. I have many inbound links deep into my site.

Its typical with IT people who are very good at technical stuff, and thanks to all of you for providing this free of charge, its just people are not so good at telling you what things are FOR.

Why do i need to upgrade? Do i???

Here's how to find the answers to your questions:
    1. Download v1.3.9g
    2. Open the /docs/ folder and double-click on the "index.html" file and let it open in your browser.
    3. Then click on the "What's New In v1.3.9a" link and read all the changes that 1.3.9a contains over v1.3.8.
    4. Repeat for v1.3.9b, c, d, e, f, g.
    5. Then decide for yourself whether any of those bugfixes and improvements are important to you, whether performance improvements are good for your customers, and whether the hacker-proofing measures that were added are of any interest to you.
