    Default Re-naming the browser tab

Hello, I downloaded the "Twist of Nature" template for my new website, but I would like to change the name on the tab at the top of my browser so it reads the name of my website and not Zen Cart. Can I also add a small pic to the tab?

How do I do this from the Zen Cart admin page.

    Thanks

You can't do that through admin. You'll need to edit the metatags.php file in the includes/languages/english/ folder with a text editor to make these changes.

The picture is called a favicon. If you google for: make favicon,
you will find some websites that will help you create your own favicon, which you then need to upload using your FTP client in the public_html folder.

Thanks for the info folks. I can not find where to change the name from Zen Cart to my site name.

    I also found this thread where this quote comes from;

The meta file is located in :

    /includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php

find the text, replace it, and save the file.

This is supposed to say, "I still can not find, for can I change the name" Sorry for the spelling errors.

    This is really frustrating.

When I go to includes/languages/english/html_includes/ it them brings me to a file 12541, then I open it and it says define_mane_page, click on that and it has nothing to do with the tab at the top and I cant find anywhere where it says Zen Cart...

Please help, this is so frustrating.

    THanks

    Three things:

    1. check the path. why are you going into html_includes folder? path is /includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php and NOT /languages/english/html_includes/ ( what you stated)

    2. i am pretty sure you have meta_tags.php : )

    3. for a second lets say if you dont, do this....

What exactly does your browser say right now?

Then take that text, and search for it in admin>tools>developers tool kit. put that text in the last box and do a search in catalog.

you will find out the file and then you can change that.

Ok, thanks so much for being so patient with me. I realized I need to go into Filezilla(FTP) and open it from there. I found the meta_tags, and found where it says title Zen CArt, I changed that to my website name, then saved it(this was done in notepad) what do I need to do now to get it to show on my webpage, as it is still showing Zen Cart? I did hit the refresh button at the top of the Filezilla page, but no go.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks so much!

when you save a file in filezilla, it shoul've asked you if you wanted to upload the altered file. did you check the box and click ok?

refresh your browser or try opening in a new browser.

or, maybe you changed some other line that said zen cart.

Do it over again. make sure to check how many time Zen cart appears.

    Code:
    1. // page title
    define('TITLE'

    2. // Site Tagline
    define(

    3. // Home Page Only:
      define
Make sure you changed number 3 above. ( home page define)
