    Default Upgrade shows no change

Using v1.3.9d but upgraded files to 1.3.9h following the change log. I'm a little confused because I see no difference and it is still saying I am using v1.3.9d.

Is it neccessary to use zc_install or do I actually have to go through each version change and change log up to h adding/changing or deleting files.

I have not worked with Zen Cart before but a client needed it upgraded for security reasons, this was a custom install by someone else.

    Thanks for the help.

No, If you have done the upgrade correctly it will automatically say 1.3.9h

Upgrading from d you shouldn't need to use the installer at all, just upload the changed files

the only thing that may say 1.3.9d is the database version as there were no database changes in any of the 1.3.9 series

so on your version page it'll say something like

    Zen Cart 1.3.9h
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.9d
    Webzings Design
    Semi retired from Web Design

Thanks for the reply but i have a question. Should i have replaced all files in 1.3.9d with the downloaded upgrade 1.3.9h instead of just replacing the files listed in the change log?

Sorry I should have mentioned that when I click on the version link, it does still say v1.3.9d

From 1.3.9d to 1.3.9h you simply:
    - unzip a copy of 1.3.9h
    - use the changelog for 1.3.9e, and replace the handful of listed files using the 1.3.9h copy of the mentioned files
    - then repeat using the 1.3.9f changelog
    - then repeat with the 1.3.9g changelog
    - then finally with the 1.3.9h changelog

Must replace the files, not ignore if they already exist.

When done correctly, the version information in your admin will show the change.

I have now gone through all change logs and all files and made the appropiate changes.

I now get an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error when trying to log into the admin area, I'm not sure of how to trouble shoot this. Any heelp would be appreciated.

Sounds like one or more files haven't been uploaded properly.
