Cant Log into my admin

I have never had a problem logging into my admin before, now today it tells me either my user name or password are incorrect, this is not the case cause I know them well, when I ask for the password to be resent it tells me the email is incorrect this email I have had for 10years so it is correct. Can some please help me and tell me what is happening, and how to get into my site again.

I have had a similar problem, although when I asked for a reset password, it was sent to my email, although the new password wont work. I dont know what version I am using, as I cannot log in to tell, I dont know if you can tell from somewhere else? I think 1.3.8 but not sure?

So I found an article: How do I change or reset my Admin Password? (I lost it) at https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=2. Obviously I cant change it in admin, so I tried running the query in PHPMyAdmin as detailed, however I get :

#1046 - No database selected

The there is this part: If you are using a prefix for your database tables, you'll naturally need to add that prefix to the table name above.
ie. "... FROM/INTO prefix_admin ...".

So perhaps I have a prefix, but have no idea what it would be!

Gosh, sorry for sounding so dumb.

When in phpmyadmin you must select/load a database
From there you can view the tables and their name
Would be like
address_book
or if a prefix might be like
zen_address_book

From there you can run/select fo the top menu sql and run the reset pass sql code

Thanks Kobra for your fast reply. That is something I should have realised, I usually wait and try to figure things about before I post and sound dumb, but alas, not this time.

I have managed to login now with the Admin reset and I have gone to Admin settings and now I realise what has gone wrong. I must have been hacked as my Admin name had been changed to 'Henry'. I will change it back & reset the pw but im guessing I must be vulnerable. I have checked my payments module settings and all looks ok as if it still has my details.

I'm guessing an upgrade is needed? I try to avoid this as long as possible as I always have trouble

There was another admin on there also ... Name: Adminz with email: [email protected]. I'm guessing this is how they got in, I will delete this now....

They are already in and most likely have set ways to access even now that you have changed things

Well this sucks!

It looks like after a week of work and reading on here I had not even had the site fully up and someone decided to break a few things.

Host IP: 124.115.6.13 and 124.115.0.156 GRRR I will catch you!

Ended up killing the whole project down to start fresh... Reloaded zencart and still cannot log in! Any ideas?

I have the same problem. I cannot log into my Admin page. I tried looking at the databse tables using myPHPAdmin, but I am not too sure as to what to look for.
