Categories not showing on the home page

Zen Car Version: 1.3.8a

HI guys. We have a zen cart shopping cart and we need a little help. All of our top categories have disappeared from the home page at mirrors 4 home .co .uk. along with the footer.

In Layout Settings I have;
Categories - Always Show on Main Page = 1
Still nothing shows.

I also floated the centre column to the left in the CSS but this didn't change anything either.

However, if a change
Categories - Always Show on Main Page = 0
The footer returns but obviously no categories with this setting.

Also if I use;
Main Page - Opens with Category 3_10 I can see the products within the specified categories.

Any help would be great.
As each top gategory has an associated image we would like to show these on the home page. They did this last week but not now.

At the moment I have enabled;
Main Page - Opens with Category 3_10

Just so there are a few products showing instead of an empty page.

I'm also trying to change this, but cannot seem to find the correct combination of flags to get what I want.
