Fatal error: admin login line 72

Hi all! I hope I don't annoy you with the umph-teenth request in this matter, but I did search the forum back and forth, twice. And I did not find an exact match. Hence, I am posting this. Here goes - I had never installed zencart, also not locally, so it was a fresh installation of:

zencart 1.3.9
the server runs:
UNIX
version 5.0.77
Apache 2.2.3
MySQL 5.0.77
phpMyAdmin 3.3.5.1

There were no major hiccups when installing. Although I suspect - please read on - that some links that I did are wrong.

When I try to log in to admin with the correct password etc. this message comes up and the login is prompted again:
Fatal error: Call to a member function Execute() on a non-object in /var/www/html/web1008/html/zencart/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 72

After having searched the forum I tried to login as a customer, but that page comes up totally blank.

I did install the test files, so I do see products. But if I click on a product a message comes up: 1054 Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'

I am really at a loss here and freely admit that I know nothing of php. Still, maybe someone can help.

You have problems with file content and database content missing. If it were just files I would tell you to upload all of the files again (except for the two configure.php files), but as you also have database problems I recommend:

1. Got to the database usingphpMyAdmin, select all tables, and elect to Drop them all (emptying the database out).
2. Access the site via FTP and re-upload all folders and files again, deleting the two existing configure.php files.
3. Run the install again.
