1.3.9g can't add pics to description

Update from new 1.3.9f install to 1.3.9g

I need to add a picture to the description area in the add products screen, but when I try even though I know the picture is there it comes up with a popup area not allowed to see image.

What code/file do I have to change permissions on to make the add picture widget work. Must be something new in 1.3.9g used to work.

I don't recall anyone reporting "popup problems" with 1.3.9g, but there were some problems editing product descriptions in 1.3.9g. That's been fixed in v1.3.9h which was released yesterday.

Not trying to step on any toes here Doc, but I think what "C" is referring to is, in HTMLArea when you click on the "Insert Image" button, it brings up the Popup.

C, if your image is in your main image directory, try adding your FULL URL in the "Image URL:" space including the http://, such as:

http://yoursite.com/images/your_image.jpg

Then click the "Preview" button. If that don't work, then you'll have to chmod your image directory to at least 755.

I am having the same problem seeing the image in pop up area in my upgrade from 1.3.7.1. I now have work in process upgrade to 1.3.9h. I did some research and concluded CKeditor is what I should use instead of FCKeditor. But it did not help on this issue.

Sometimes a direct url got me there so I could see it, then I made it a relative url which made the preview and page show a missing link. But the website page loaded ok. Being I am using already designed images in an old page it's not so bad work around but did slow me down while relearning all this.

What I also don't understand is why FCKeditor and now CKeditor added a bunch of Latin filler text in pop up preview that I can not find or figure out how to remove. Or why it is even there.
But the text does not seem to effect the actual web page.

I have this problem as well!. I wanted to put an image in my description area.. but /images/categories/productInfo_bags.png doesn't seem to be recognized...Is there a new way to type in the URL?

Did you try turning the HTML editor off and entering your own raw HTML markup directly?
