Default How to move the shop from www.mysite.com/shop to www.mysite.com?

    Hi everyone :)
So the actual question is how to move the shop from www.mysite.com/cart into www.mysite.com

Sorry, Probably I'm not the first one asking this but I couldn't find the answer here.
My shop address is currently www.4x4point.com.au/cart and it works fine.
I have additional page/domain now www.jeepparts.net.au I would like to copy my entire shop into there.
I would like that the shop opens straight if someone clicks on www.jeepparts.net.au

Your help would be very much appreciated.
    Best Wishes
    Lara

I have checked this one and done as advised but it doesn't work. Probably I've done something wrong
I changed the session directory in Admin>Configuration>Session
    from /home/wc12345/public_html/cart/cache into:
    /home/wc12345/public_html/jeepparts.net.au
    Have I done a mistake??
The jeepparts.net.au is there as an addon domain with its own file thats why I done it that way...
Any idea why it doesn't work that way???

Do you have an index.html page for the jeepparts.net.au site? If so, browsers are picking it up first instead of the index.php page of Zen Cart. Remove or rename the index.html page.

You were right :) Thanks a lot for the advise. Now, I have copied the whole shop into the main directory, removed the index.html from there and changed the directory in admin sessions. The shop comes up when I click on www.jeepparts.net.au BUT :
    1. When I go any further in the shop, the address in the browser changes to http://4x4point.com.au/cart/.....something..... where the same shop still is and always was located under www.4x4point.com.au/cart

Is this OK?? I would be happy to keep the shop under the both addresses if possible but technically is it ok??? I mean I got the whole shop now in two folders: in the 4x4point.com.au/cart and in the jeepparts.net.au will it work without any problems or did I make something wrong again??
    Please help

If I remember correctly, both configure.php files have to be changed. Did you do the correct edits to both files?

help question Re: How to move the shop from www.mysite.com/shop to www.mysite.com?

I am experiencing the same problem. I have moved my shop to the root folder and edited both the config.php files. The shop is working ok but I am unable to login to the admin area. So in theory when the stock sells i am unable to do admin tasks eg dispatch emails and update stock levels. Any help would be appreciated... http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/images/smilies/cry.gif
