Cannot access admin pages redirecting automatically

Hello All:

I just installed zencart. I renamed the admin directory and made the changes in /admin/includes/configure.php.

upon going to http://localhost/.../myrenameddir/

it automatically redirects to

.../zencart/admin/alert_page.php


and the page is not found...

I am a new user and have followed the instructions to a T...Why can i not see the admin page?

That alert displays when you haven't renamed your admin folder, or when you haven't deleted the zc_install folder. Have you done both ?

I'm getting the same problem? I've been through the install sequence so many times now! The only thing I have been able to find different is that I'm installing on a windows server. I tried it on Unix and it works fine! Any idea's whats different?

Yep - try Stevesh's answer - I got the same.

The message will disappear once you rename the admin folder and get rid of the zc_install folder.

Don't forget, you will also have to recode part of the config file so that the code there matches the new name of your admin file.
