Sales taxes for IL applies to all states

We just started using our website and we have a sales taxes problem.

We feel that there's something wrong with the Zone configuration but can't figure out what.

The company is based in Illinois. We have set-up Illinois as a Zone. But it shows a red dot "Not configured" and can't find a way to configure it (from the Sales Tax window? from the Zone window?).

In the meantime, all our customers are getting charged 8.25%, the sale tax rate for Illinois, even though they come from all the other states.

Any help is welcome.

If you finish creating your Zone Definition by clicking on the DETAILS button for it and set the:
Country: United States
Zone: Illinois

does this work better?

I was missing the country! I think I fixed it, but I need to test more to figure out if it's working. Thanks for your help.

I too and working on setting up taxes in Illinois. I'm confused about how this works. Did you enter just one rate for Illinois or did you break it up in counties? Any chance you can let me know where you are getting your updated tax information?
