The 'featured' and 'specials' database tables seem to be intended to represent whether or not a product is featured/on special. Each of these tables has a products_id field, referencing the product, but each has its own primary key as well. This seems to imply that a given product record can have more than one corresponding 'featured' record, and more than one 'specials' record. This seems counter-intuitive to me, unless the intent was to maintain an audit trail of when a product has been featured or has been on sale. Is that the real intent? I looked in the Zen Cart database wiki, but that's not much help in this regard.
To rephrase my questions:
- Is it reasonable to expect that a given product record can have more than one corresponding record in the featured table?
- And in the specials table?
- If so, how does Zen Cart interpret these multiple records?
Thanks in advance.
