Added SSL, now check out page fails to load completely

I purchased a dedicated SSL from Godaddy. I enabled SSL via the configure.php files and it seems to all be working

I use fast and easy check out and now when the Checkout page loads, the PayPal Express button fails to load, yet the page says "done" loading. Reload the page and it then appears.
What would cause the Express button to fail to load the first time?
I have found this to happen with Chrome and Firefox 3.6.

That is a 3rd party addon and your issue would be better addressed in the support thread for it

Maybe, but I suspect that it may have nothing to do with Fast and Easy checkout and I hesitated to even mention it.

Not an open way to obtain assistance

Then if you have followed the override system and this module also does switch to the classic template where FEC should not be present and see if the issue persists

I switched the SSL off and now the PayPal Express Checkout Button appears every time. Each time I close the browser, wait 20+ minutes and try again. So, it does appear to be related to the SSL.

Anyone know what the issue might be?
