Admin Template needed

Where can I find some template which will upgrade my admin panel's ugly look?


Does anybody know?

Not quite sure, but if anyone can provide more info that would be great! I'm designing a site for a friend and I'd love it to be as clean and simple as possible...

The template/override system doesn't apply to the admin.

1) Are there any plans to upgrade the admin area (gui wise).

2) How did iwebhost do it in the link I have posted in my starting thread?

1) Yes there are.

2) Just because overrides don't yet work for the admin, doesn't mean that you can't replace or extend the stylesheets to style the admin.

bonus) there are several admin templates available from the downloads area of this forum, e.g. this one.

I didn't know I can find themes for the admin area in this site in the addons section.

Thanks for the link, Kuroi. I'd read that there were admin templates around, but didn't know they were available in the add-ons section.

To everyone else: be aware that if you use one of them, you'll have to reinstall each time you update/upgrade your cart since the files will be overwritten by the default admin template.

Do you still have to be careful of about over writing the files if you use something like winmerge when installing future mods?

Yes -- anytime you install a file from a mod which replaces any existing file, you will want to verify that you're not breaking anything by doing so.
