    Default Blank Side Boxes

    I need some help please.... i am trying to get a picture into the blank side box on the right hand side of my website at: www.majikalpath.com If you look at the page you will see i have used 1 already but the content was simple on it cause the moon phases where created on another site and all i had to do was paste the HTML code into the side box.

    What i want to do is place a picture into the box at the bottom right side called "Mystic Ravens Blog" and have it set that when you click on the picture you will go to the blog. Can some help me with this?

    I am using zen cart 1.3.9g the blog link is: http://www.majikalpath.com/wordpress

    The picture to be used is named: th_Broom0 and it is located in the folder : http://majikalpath.com/zencart/images

    I do not know how to write the code for doing this... if someone could help me or point me in the direction as to knowing how to make this happen would be most appreciated. Thanks in Advance

    <a href="http://www.majikalpath.com/wordpress" target="_blank"><img src="images/th_Broom0.jpg" width="100" height="100" alt="" /></a>

    Of course you will have to change the width and height to match your image...........which by the way, doesn't seem to exist. Is it a .jpg, .gif, .png, or what? I looked for all 3 and it doesn't seem to be there, and you never gave a file extension. The name CAN'T just be thBroom0...........it absolutely HAS to have an image extension. I used .jpg in the example since I couldn't find it.

    Thank you for the quick reply... the picture is a jpeg.... Can you tell me where i might learn how to make up code like this. I tried to create it in Web Expressions and then i remembered that kobra said to keep Web Expressions away from Zencart. Is there someplace for someone like me who has never done this to learn how to write code ?

    Sure, if you Google "learn HTML", you will find several thousand free places on the web to learn how to write code of all kinds. One of the best places to start IMO is W3Schools.com. You can learn the basics of just about any coding language there and it doesn't cost you a dime.

    I'm still not seeing your image, though. You sure it's in that directory?

    No problem at all. We ALL started at some time or another and asked a bunch of questions.............but I've always heard the only stupid question is the one you DIDN'T ask.

    Add this to your stylesheet to change the color of text in that particular sidebox.

    Code:
    #logosideboxContent {color: #66ffff;}
    #logosideboxContent:hover {color: #efefef;}

    Well When store went live we find out GoDaddy will not open the proper port for Firstdata to use their gateway to process CC. I spent all day yesterday trying to find a work around to this issue. I have come to the conclusion that I am moving BOTH websites to BlueHosting. I have been assured that it will not be an issue..(I HOPE AND PRAY).. to do this if you follow the tutorial https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100 I am assured that by having a dedicated ip will work with the firstdata gateways and that they will open ports the ports needed. As being a newbie at this we will find out... i am doing the back up now of the databases. Once that is done i am going to download everything to hd...once that is done i am going to take both stores off line for maintance and point DNS to Bluehosting and begin the upload process.... If you have any advice would be great.

    None other than the host you picked. You're moving up, but not by much IMO. Sounds like you've got it all covered. Happy moving and we'll see you back online shortly.
