need help on changing width of site

Hi All!

I have been searching the forums, but im not sure if im searching the right words, because i couldnt seem to find the answer lol.

i have a 1.3.7 right now, and getting that upgraded to 1.3.9.

in the meantime i have been playing with a dev site for a new layout.

I managed to make the header, span, and footer to a 900 px, but when I do that, alot of the info is shifted. I kinda mucked around stylesheet.css, and managed to have some content within a margin but i dont know how to fix the rest (esp. with the product's picture and description)

is there a list of places I have to go to change all the width in order to have the info contained?

What is your setting for Configuration > Product Listing > Display Product Price/Add to Cart Column Width?
Your "sold out" image is 120px wide.

but im still not sure if that would fix the problems...

Well, what is the setting? If it is less than 120px, it will try to be narrow but be forced open by the image, with results like you see.
