Spacing of Option Box Descriptions

I have my site pretty much in order but I have real difficulties in the layout. Right now I have an option box extra spacing is added on the description as such:

Color:


[Option Box]

I have searched in vain trying to eliminate the extra spacing all to no avail. Anyone have a solution.

the item that is causing the space is the div surrounding the select box, it has .back class on it, this in your stylesheet has a 3em margin-top on it

in the default stylesheet this would have been used to float all your elements so it would be

.back { float:left;}

the zencart templates use .back and .forward classes an awful lot for various positioning. so i think your going to have trouble unless you change it back and find an alternative for whatever you required the 3em margin-top for

did you replace it with the float i suggested? one option if your having display troubles is to install the firefox addon firebug, its free and allows you to do live editing, these eidts won't save but allow you to fiddle about with the css, particularly useful with problems like this

Thank you for the input. I've used firebug for a long time, great tool. CSS can be a pain finding the inheritances at times. I've done many sites and tend to keep my CSS really clean so my customers can find and change things.

What would make Zencart a stellar program would be an easy way for us to define our own divs and how they appear on the pages, giving us total control of the page layouts.
