Quanity discount not pricing right in cart

I have a product that has 10 items under it.
I have the following discount pricing:
1-3 10.00
4-10 8.00
11-20 5.00

I add a quanity of 1 for 4 of any of the 10 items

When I go to the cart 3 of the items price at 10.00 each and 1 item prices at 8.00. The discount is on the 4th item only.

If I add a 5 item then I get 3 items at 10.00 and 2 items at 8.00.

I want all items in the cart to price at 8.00 each for all items selected from that product page.

I set up the discount under the price manager not for each individal products.

I am using version 1.3.8a

Any help would be great. I lost a lot of hair on this one.

I am having the same problem. I am also using version 1.3.8a

I have a product that comes in 10 styles and used the product price manager to provide bulk discount...

style 1: green
style 2: blue
style 3: orange
...

then there are 5 price points

regular price: 11.50
minimum quantity of 4, $10.99
minimum quantity of 12, $9.99
minimum quantity of 24, $8.99
minimum quantity of 50, $8.50

when I add the items to the cart it works fine if I choose 20 of the same style it gets the price right, but if I put in quantity of 4 on 5 styles the pricing is like
item unit total
4 myitem style 1: $9.99 $39.96
4 myitem style 2: $10.99 $43.96
4 myitem style 3: $10.99 $43.96
4 myitem style 4. $11.50 $46.00
4 myitem style 5: $9.99 39.96

sub-total: $213.84

so it gets a mixture of regular price, minimum quantity 4, and minimum quantity 12, when they should all be listed at minimum quantity 10.

Like I said it seems to work fine when you just have one item/style but when you mix them it is using the wrong prices.

I wouldn't even know where to begin to look to fix this. I am hoping there is a patch or someone can direct me as to what exactly needs to be fixed.

There is a bug in the 138a support thread that you're hitting.

The best course of action would be to upgrade and get this fix, as well as many others and many security improvements.
