Hmm, ok then, well something doesn't add up.
Basically what we want to do is send out a newsletter to all customers that have made a purchase in the past. Preferably not a purchase in the last 3 months but can live with that. But the numbers don't add up if the first choice is everyone that has ever subscribed whether they have made a purchase or not.
because for all subscribers we have 6,059 people.
For dormant customer which means a customer that has ordered before but not in the last 90 days we have 3,947.
That leaves 2112 people which one would think would be made up of customers that have ordered in the last 90 days or never ordered.
But for people that have signed up but never ordered we have 4,046.
But then according to the numbers here you know we've had at least 3,947 customers plus whatever has ordered in the last 90 days.
So if all subscribers was/is made up of both customers that have ordered something in the past AND people that have signed up but never ordered anything then the "all subscribers" tally should be at least 7993 (3947 "all subscribers plus 4046 "never ordered anything").
Either something is not right, or it's not what we think it is or my math is really bad?
"signed up" in this case means "created an account"
NOT "Subscribed" to the newsletter
It includes ALL who have created an account but never ordered (regardless of Subscription status)
So... of your 4046
2112 have purchased < 3 months ago
and 1934 have created an account and never ordered

Still makes no sense, Because the numbers you suggest well, 2112 isnt the correct number that havent purchased in more than 90 days that number is 3947. Which then according to your argument would leave 99 that have signed up an account but never made a purchase. (Which sounds more realistic to me since we don't think thousands of people have signed up an account but never made a purchase).
But it seems a little contradictory since it says "Never ordered" but you are saying x number of the query of how many people signed up but never made a purchase are actually including ones that ordered more than 3 months ago (dormant). Makes no sense then why this field would even be there in such a way since dormant customers is already listed elsewhere. It should simply be the customers that signed up but never ordered anything, like it says it is otherwise without your explanation it makes no sense whatsoever but seems to reveal a flaw then in the mod.
Too, knowing which ones have signed up but never made a purchase and being able to extract those emails directly can have significant value since we could potentially send them a specially crafted inquiry and maybe learn more about why they signed up but never ordered and perhaps convert some of them. But as it stands the apparent flaw of it including, somewhat erroneously I might add, dormant accounts in the mix subtracts the potential value of being able to do that. Because we would craft an email for those that havent ordered in a while different from the one for those that have never ordered if you know what I mean.

ok, that last part is where it makes perfect sense then. Thanks for taking the time to break it out because I probably would never have figured it out otherwise and now we can put this to bed and maybe it will help anyone else that is trying to understand it. Although that last one doesn't seem to have much value in terms of pulling a list. would be so much better if it separated the subscribers from the non subscribers because it would be useful to pull a list of subscribers that have never made a purchase.
Agreed... The last one is pretty useless
However you can always add more selections to that dropdown to get the list(s) that you want.
