    Same problem here.

    Dragged and dropped the files without touching them to my admin folder.
    And nothing under "tools".
    Easiest mod to install so far, but not working and I'm under v.1.3.9.h.

    Just in case someone knows why it's not working :)

    I'm guessing there might be a conflict with another mod.

    In v1.3.x the admin tools menu is controlled by the files in /admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes/
    So if you didn't upload the file for that folder, then the menu option won't show.

    thanks, just checked and I have email_export_tools_dhtml.php in there.
    As a said, just dragged and dropped the whole order, didn't change a thing.

    But as other have experienced the same issue, isn't it possible that it's because of another mod?

    Sigh.

    Yes, there is. It's really quite simple: If you renamed the /admin/ folder to /myadmin/ then any future files you add or edit for the /admin/ folder should be done in the /myadmin/ folder. That includes anything you upload to your site: anything that's to be uploaded to the /admin/ folder would be uploaded to the /myadmin/ folder instead.
    Same if you called it /fred/ instead of /myadmin/

    ok.
    Sorry.
    Since there's also an "includes" folder in the "shop" folder... I copied the files there.
    Ahem. I have no words for my stupidity.

    I hope that at least it'll help some people realize their stupidity too.

    Thank you very much.

    We have been using this mod without problems until we changed host.

    Using version 1.39h with the latest version of the mod installed, but when trying to generate a list, our server eventually times out with an internal server error.

    Our host support can replicate the issue and have given the following reason for the error:

    Yes, I got the internal server error when I followed the steps you mentioned, I could see the issue is causing due to the timeout error regarding the variable mod_fcgid.
    ========
    [Wed Oct 30 18:47:25 2013] [warn] [client 86.181.100.118] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 350 seconds,
    [Wed Oct 30 18:47:25 2013] [error] [client 86.181.100.118] Premature end of script headers: (some data removed for privacy)
    ========

    It is very much clear from the above logs that the module fails to execute in the 350Sec, can you recommend the appropriate value which should be set for mod_fcgid? I can assign the value if that doesn't make harm to the server performance and other users on server. Okay, feel free to get in touch with us if you need us to tweak any server variables like Apache, Nginx(we have reverse proxy enabled in server) or fcgi variables.
    Any suggestions how we can get this working as its been a very useful tool for us I the past?

    I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to bump with a kudos. This mod rocks! I have three clients using phpList for newsletter processing, and I was trying to find an easy way for them to grab the on-site signups rather than me doing the exporting from the database. Thanks, Doc!

    I have a question about the data exported using this mod.

    Basically it is giving us 5 choices and counts:

    all subscribers
    dormant customers
    active customer in last 3 months
    active customers in last 3 months regardless of subscription status
    customers who have never completed a purchase

    does the first one (all subscribers) include everyone in the other 4 choices? (except probably the regardless of subscription status of course would include other customers that didn't subscribe)

    Or for example is "all subscribers" only people that have made a purchase (and subscribed) and separate from the "customers who have never completed a purchase" choice.
