Xampp Install

Hi,

I am trying to install zc on my local xampp installation on my pc and am having trouble getting zc_install to come up. I know that xampp is installed correctly because http:localhost/test.php is working.

It keeps giving me a 500 error. Please advise.

I have not seen a 500 error on a local yet but the troubleshooting is the same

If you are trying to use some kind of SEO rewriting in your local install of Zen Cart then you will need to modify the httpd.conf file and uncomment the mod_rewrite module, shut down the server and restart. Otherwise you will get a "500 - Internal Server Error".

I just ran a security scan on my local pc and it found a corrupted exe file from xampp installation....

Can that be caused by just a bad download or is it something serious. I downloaded it from apachefriends.org.

Should I uninstall it and then re-download and install again?

Try replacing the corrupted exe file

Should be a bad download and nothing serious.

Some anti-virus software silently remove files they falsely flag as dangerous. See http://www.apachefriends.org/en/faq-...dows.html#kill.
