    Default Attribute price by percentage

I want to offer a discount on one attribute on a product.

Ex: A 3% discount on a particular Item

I currently have it set up through attribute controller as follows:

    Price Factor: -0.03
    Offset: 0.00

I have tried to set it up by adding a negative price factor in the attribute controller which shows as a negative there but in the actual product it is showing as a positive & when I go through the checkout it's not showing any difference in the price at all, a I doing this correctly or is there another way of doing this?

If the Product Price were set to 100.00 ...

Then you set the Attribute with:
    Price Factor: 1.03
    Offset: 1

You would then have an Attribute priced at $3.00 and when added to the cart you would have:
    Product Price: 100.00 + Attribute 3.00 for a total of $103.00

    Thanks for the reply.
I would like to give a 3% Discount instead of adding the 3% to the product price. What is the correct Price Factor & Offset to subtract the 3% ?

Try reversing them ... and change the Prefix to a minus sign ...

Default Re: Attribute price by percentage

I am using v1.3.9h and trying to create pricing based on quantity and also a percent.

    For instance:

    10 items = $100.00
    20 items = $150.00

I then need to be able to add 25% or 35% to each of the above selections based on the the following:

    Red = 25%
    Blue = 35%

I created a drop down menu for each and tried using the price factor and offset. I need for my customers to be able to select one of the items and then red or blue. ie. if they select 20 items and blue the total amount due would be $202.50 ($150 x 135%). Currently it will only calculate based on the $100 no matter which of the quantities I select.

I am not that familiar with the factor and offset. Can anybody let me know how to do this. I searched this forum for hours and have gotten even more confused on the price factor and offset relationship to the overall price.

The post may be old, but this information just saved me months of work I had been doing before.

Now I know how to update my prices by percentages instead of trying to calculate each attribute price.

Much Love to you Ajeh.... Much Love!

Ok, I am having the same problem that jt1020 listed above, and I can't seem to find a solution. Quick recap.

Using one of my products, Purchase Order AFG91i-2 http://af-company.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=137

My quantity discounts are as follows:
    Volume Pricing
    Quantity
    Unit Price
    Total Price
    100
    $0.53
    $52.50
    250
    $0.282
    $70.50
    500
    $0.18
    $90.00
    1,000
    $0.143
    $143.00
    2,000
    $0.118
    $236.00
    4,000
    $0.116
    $464.00

That is to purchase the forms loose (the first quantity is supposed to be shown as .525, but that is a whole different problem). If you would like to purchase them in books with 50 forms I would like to add a 16% increase. I go into my attributes an set up a booking option. For the option of yes I put the Price Factor : Offset as 1.16 : 1

Now that creates an addition cost of $0.08 per form. But that cost is being applied to all the quantity discounts. When you get to the second quantity discount (250 forms), the price is $0.282 so the attribute price for booking should be 0.05 each, but it uses the price from the 100 quantity, so it adds $0.08 again.

    Help please!!
