Default Concept of Price Factor and Offset

    Hi all,

I've been able to add a new option name, option values and also make an increment of prices..

Bt, am not understanding at all the concept of Price Factor and Offset to achieve a percentage-based attribute pricing. What does that mean??

If I have put values in the Price Factor & Offset, must I put values for the One Time Factor and Offset. Are all the fields dependent on each other?

Cn somebody clarify me on these points? Am very new to Zen Cart..

    Thanks

    Liizz

The Price Factor and Price Factor Offset is used Product per Quantity ...

The One Time Factor and One Time Factor is used per Product, regardless of the Quantity ...

    Hi.

    Thanks for your post..

How will I use these concepts?

Can you give me a very clear explanation?

This concept cant be mastered at first go, I did not understand the Price Factor and Offset stuff from the book.

Not many use the Price Factors ...

They were designed when you wanted a Product Price and then the Attribute to be a percentage of that Price ...

So say you had a Product Price of: 100.00 and you want the Attribute to add on an additional charge of 25% ... you would set on the Attribute ...
    Price Factor: 1.25
    Offset: 1

and the Attribute Price would add on $25.00

Now if you changed the Product Price to: 200.00, then the Attribute Price would change to add on 25% or $50.00 ...
