Pay on Account or PO controlled by customer

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a module where controlled customers could "pay on account" or by purchase order.

It would require the admin to have the ability to "flag" an existing customer, so the pay on account (or PO) shows up as a payment option - only for these flagged customers.

I've looked at the other modules which have PO/account properties (ie. super orders, purchase order module, account holders) but none of them seem to be customer controlled - they all seem to allow these options for any customer.

This doesn't look like it should be too difficult to create - but I don't want to duplicate the work if it's been done already.

Does anyone know if such a thing already exists, and I've just missed it in my searches?

No problem. Made the mod last night.

Changes:
1. "customers_pay_on_account" flag field added to customers table.
2. checkbox for this field added to customer edit in admin
3. added the green/red enable/disable icon to admin customer list for it as well.
4. created payonaccount payment module - more or less a copy of the moneyorders module with a check on the customer flag.

Need to decide how to handle order status now.

This would be a very popular module. I'd like to see how you tweaked the moneyorder module.

Will you be making this module available to the ZC community as a free add-on?

I'll try to post it at some point soon.

My modifications change the ADMIN/customers.php file, so it trips over changes by the COWOA module, and possible others.

So I'm not sure how to present installation notes.
Some of the modifications will likely have to be by hand, so as not to break these other popular mods.

can this mod allow the customer to just enter the amount they want to and select pay with bank card?

If not would be a good module to use for a customer to just enter the amount to pay and pay it with a bank card...?

A quick check of the OPs status shows they have not been on the forum since Feb, 2011. I doubt any code from that time frame would be compatible with the current 1.5.5f.

Have you taken a look at https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1356 which deals with a PO? or https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=688

Might be something in one of those that you can make use of.
