Unable to edit define main page

Hi All,
I havn't edited my website for a while but i've tried to change some of the text on my main page but when I tried submit the changes and it gives me these error messages, I don't understand what it means can someone help? My website is www.signifypromotions.co.uk

Are you making your changes via an editor and then upload with the your ftp program?

Thanks for your reply stitchnkitty.

No I am just editing the normal way I used to which is in the admin control panel and going to define pages, that's the way i always used to do it.

Thank you for the link supplied. I had a look at the solutions. The first solution I don't think applies to me, as there was no spaces at the front of the PHP, hower there was an extra line at the end when I placed my curser and delated the line and saved, the line appeared again so I am guessing it's supposed to be there?

With the second solution i can see consistency's.

And when I look at the define_pages_editor.php I can see these same text in the lines

Line 75 $new_file = fopen($file, 'w'); (which is shwon in the first error)

Line 77 fwrite($new_file, $file_contents, strlen($file_contents));(shown in the next error)

Line 78 fclose($new_file); (which shows in the third error)

The problem is i don't know what to look for and I couldn't tell what it should read and what it shouldn't. Is there anything I can do.

Go to your webhosting, and make your includes/languages folder (and the files inside it) writable. This will fix it.
