Generate invoice

Is there a way to generate an invoice for a particular product to a particular customer through admin without the customer ordering it? And then emailing the invoice? I'm looking for an interim recurring billing solution for a virtual product, a manual solution until I can sort an auto one...

Maybe a 3rd party module can assist with possibly a bit of modification

There's a problem with using this mod. I can generate the invoice in Admin and email a link out to the customer but then there is no way they can actually pay for it. A sidebox is there for a quick re-order but that will generate another invoice. I need to keep this simple for the customer too.

Any thoughts?
