Waiver: New user, new store, very little experience with php and /or ZenCart to date.
I upgraded from 1.3.8 to 1.3.9h via Fantastico DeLuxe with Control Panel from my web hosting service (i.e. automatic update as opposed to manual, thank God). I searched the forums, and have the right answers to all the question for OLD versions (most answers to questions came from pre-2008 versions). I figured problems with this issue would have been solved by now, perhaps there really IS a bug?
We have a home brewing supply shop. We want to provide and price our base grain quantities per pound, but sell as little as 1/4 (.25) pounds. I've tried multiple product settings, this being the most logical:
Product Qty Minimum: .25
Product Qty Maximum: 0
Product Qty Units: 1
Product Qty Min/Unit Mix: Yes
This results in an error popping up in the cart which displays the proper pricing, but rounds the quantity up or down. This also happens when the .25 above is changed to 1, and a decimal is placed in the cart quantity box. Product decimals has been changed to both, 2 and 3 without luck in changing the result of getting the error message.
Bottom line is to sell 1 pound units (at a specific unit per pound price) in 1/4 pound increments, without using attributes (which complicates our pricing structure incredibly). Above error does not allow check-out even though mathematics are correct.
A great deal of previous documentation addresses issues "kind of" like this, but not specifically this, and I only want to change the code if and when necessary.
Thanks in Advance. I will personally donate for a solution : )
