That's because you are allowing javascript. The script on the additional image is malfunctioning somehow.
But the additional image was not showing before I added IH2. I only added that because I found another poster who had the same prob and this somehow "fixed" it for him.
I can't see the additional image in Firefox either.
How does one fix this? I am only using a simple template.

It is a javascript malfunction of some sort that is causing your problem. I can't tell what the problem is or where it came from, but with js disabled, the additional image works fine.
I'm not trying to be a wiseass, but how do I fix this?
Is there js in vanilla zencart?
Is there js in the template? This seems be be a rather standard template.
Is the js just in the IH2?
What is the best way to fix this? I really do need multiple images because of the items I'm selling. I chose what I thought was a simple template-- need this. I like but can do without the IH2.
Any ideas?

There is a small amount of js in stock Zen Cart, notably in the "larger image" popup function which applies to additional images as well as main images. It obviously works perfectly for almost everyone, so it may be that you have a corrupted js file somewhere.
Thank you! I will go off in this direction and see if that will fix things. I can't load the cart or do anything else until this challenge is met! Will report back.

From your earlier posts, I gather that the problem happens with default template too. And also happened before IH2 was installed. So, if you have not installed any other add-on, there may be some corrupted files?
I've never had any problems with Zen Cart's additional images feature.
Yes, exactly, yonghs.
So, do I rename my site, and then re-install the zen cart, test, install the template, test, and then install IH2? Is there a better way?

You might download a fresh set of Zen Cart files and unzip them. Then use Winmerge or the like to compare that with the files from your site. If anything containing javascript references is different, try replacing it from the fresh set (keep a backup copy of the site file in case you need it).
