Banner on main area

Could someone help me out and tell me how to place a banner using the banner manager into the main area of the page, on the first page only?

The template does not have this facility so will probably involve me inserting some code somewhere?

Found it - header position 3

Anyone know if it is possible to show more than one banner in the same position at the same time?

Hi Paul,
Just curious but how are you using the banners? Are you using one at the top then another at the bottom etc?

The site is in the last stages of development, but I needed a way for the client to be able to add a banner or two in the main area, on the home page.

Things like a sales banner, promotion, new product in etc.

So I found that header 3 is in the main area, then I doctored the main_page template to also bring down header 2 into that position (they are not used in my header). One banner under the other.

I now have two banners main area that the client can put banners into via the banner manager, complete with rotating, monitoring clicks etc.

I tried things like TinyMCE but didn't like the security risk of a hacker hitting the upload script direct. I got caught out with that before on a hacked site.

I also modified the code slightly so they only appear on the home page, not the other pages.
