    Hi,

Ok, so I manually input my new values for products' features like prices, or even special prices..

Wats the purpose of 'EOREOR' in the tab-delimited text files, they are always from the last column?

    Thanks

Each product is a record in the table

end of record is needed so that it knows to move on

Kobra explains it well, and I have little to add. My WIKI shows the process for most product data edits.

Just bear in mind that EP does NOT work with spreadsheets, but a TAB DELIMITED TEXT file.

The point of IMPORTING the TXT file into a spreadsheet is that you can use the spreadsheet's inherent formula system for applying new values for the data.

Once you have made adjustments to the data, it's simply a case of making sure that the spreadsheet is rendering the data in the correct format for a subsequent EXPORT to a TXT file.

    That's all really.

My WIKI starts by explaining that EP does not use "spreadsheets".

You need to understand the difference between a SPREADSHEET and an exported TXT file.

    Hi.

But does EP works on attributes? I want to make adjustments on attributes, lets say to adjust the prices of my different attributes..
I did not see pricing for attributes in the tab-delimited text files.
    OR,

Must it be adjusted via admin panel?

    Thanks

Chadderuski is working on a completely new EP module. I am in the process of testing it with him.

As the attributes system in ZC is very detailed, this element is taking some time to configure.

Hopefully, the new module (not version - but a whole new module) will be available soon.

In many ways, the free Apsona ShopAdmin addon makes EasyPopulate obsolete.

With a few changes Apsona could replace EP
Right now it is more cumbersome to use than EP (for uploading data)

Hi, please pardon me, for barging in!
i have just installed EP on my local server, and there is something that is puzzeling me.
I've been through the Wiki article and i'm still not getting it.
The TEMP folder that comes with EP, is this the same TEMP folder that is also used for UPLOADS? As mentioned in ADMIN>CONFIGURATION>EASYPOPULATE.

I'am having issues with the path. I copied the two folders that came with EP, into my store and ran the install via ADMIN.
It told me that 2 files were downloaded, i found one in the TEMP folder, the other one i could not find. Where did i go wrong?
Can some one please put me straight on this?

Many thanks in advance for assistance, as always!
