MyTemplates Question vers 1.3.8 to 1.3.9h

Ok the install of the new site went really smoothly.

Base setup working great - no problems there.

The problem occurs when I try to use my templates.

Is there any special configs I need to do to get this working right?

Not sure if I set it up the same way as the old site > can I just transfer over the old files and the set up to the new site in the same order or is there some new way I need to do it?

I have tried a couple of different ways now and when I use my templates - as soon as I activate it - my entire left nav disappears but the rest seems to be ok.

Any ideas?

ADMIN > TOOLS> LAYOUT BOXES CONTROLLER

When using a new template, sometimes you have to reactivate your sideboxes

So just do an overall reset and then fix them again to on off?

I also had a issue with a banner box that would NOT go inactive no matter how many times I set it to off and finally deleted it. I finally deleted all of them as part of my store setup - I won't be using them on this type of site.

Resetting your boxes should take care of the left nav disappearing.

Without a link to your site it hard to seen in action.

Thanks will try when I get home - site is down for maintenance page is up while I do the upgrade in case client's were to go there.

Would rather have them see that instead of a bad site.

Left side is now back due to the reset - now I will reconfigure it.

Ok, one last thing...

Since I have disabled all the right hand boxes how do I may the center box appear all the way to the right?

I can't remember how I did it before.

Are you not using the right hand column "boxes" at all?

If that is the case:
Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Column Right Status - Global

set to:
0= Column Right is always off
