    Default what have i done???

    Hi all

i have installed my cart to a folder i created, (public_html/ ######/) now when i search for my site name i get directed to the /index of file which, if you click, goes to my site. i have been trying to stop this for a week now, today i managed to lose the site altogether, and after spending all day trauling this site and messing with my files i have only managed to get it back to where i started!

please advise as i am about to throw my laptop out the window!

The index of/ page is displayed when you don't have an index file in that directory. If you're going to leave your store in a subdirectory (a mistake, in my opinion) you'll need to have some sort of 'jump' page in the root of your domain named index.html, or a redirect from the root to your store. I don't use Windows servers, so I don't know how redirects are done there.

How to Configure the Default Document ( in the zen cart root directory --> index .php)

*Assuming you have access to the server config files *

To configure default document settings in IIS:
    1. Start Internet Services Manager, or start the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) that contains the IIS snap-in.
    2. Right-click the Web site, virtual folder, or folder whose default document settings you want to configure, and then click Properties.
    3. Click the Documents tab.
    4. Click to select the Enable Default Document check box. This turns on default document handling for the Web site, virtual folder, or folder that you selected.
