LiveZilla, is it better to install a new database or use Zen Cart database?

I'm installing LiveZilla Live Chat on my site, and I'm wondering whether I am best to create a new SQL database for LiveZilla or if I should just use the Zen Cart database.
If I use the existing database I can add a prefix to the LiveZilla tables to make them stand out.
I am mainly wondering whether one way or the other would be better from a site performance point of view or if there are any other issues I hadn't considered.

Not for performance but for sanity and management a new DB would be preferable

Since there's no performance hit, at kuroi we find it better to keep all the tables used by one site in a single database, separated by table prefixes. Makes access authentication, backups and integrating applications easier.
