Default Latest customer didn't leave any trace on google analytics

I use Simple google Analytics. I thought it worked all right but it gives 0 for the latest customer: no visit and no change in e-commerce. Nevertheless in my paypal account I see the sale and also in my zen-cart administration.

Anyone an idea how this is possible?

Yes, and Google itself has released a browser plugin that will block Analytics. I think tracking software will become dramatically less useful pretty soon, and I think that's a good thing, myself.

Why is it a good thing?

Good thing for customers, I should have said, not so much for merchants, I guess.

I think most people would be up in arms if brick and mortar stores figured out a way to track us and our purchases that wasn't opt-in, like loyalty cards are, but they don't seem to mind (or know, maybe) when ecommerce sites do exactly that.

Most of our sites say something like this in the Privacy Notice:

"[name of website] doesn't use any kind of tracking or 'analytical' software. If we want to know more about you than you've chosen to share wth us, we'll have the courtesy to ask."

I've had customers thank us for that. More people are becoming concerned about what they see as privacy issues, I think.
