Change Login from email to username

How do I change the customer login from using an email to using an username? I know there is a way because it is on my current Zencart which was created by a company that just folded 3/8/11

. My current website is www.rwdextendertrim.com where you can see the login under online store. I am currently using Zencart 1.3.9f Please help

Get a fresh copy of the previous version you were using and compare it to a backup of your previous version files

Then merge the differences you find into the current version

Unfortunately I don't have access to get backups of my current zencart b/c the company that was in charge of it didn't give that kind of access. I don't even have access to export customers. I just feel there is an add/on or module for this application that I am unaware of.

There's no mod that I'm aware of that will do that. It must have been custom coded, and if you don't have access to the files, it'll be difficult to reproduce it.

Your site is still active, which means that the host's server is still in operation, and as the owner of the site you should have a right to your information. Do you have a hosting contract that forbids this? Is it with the company that folded? Someone has the ability to get the site files and database backed up and transferred to you. Do some digging and find out who that is, and push until you get it... someone would like you to quietly give up, so don't!

So if that is you then you maintain control of your domain

The company gave the hosting function to another and you can contact them about access

Thanks for all the replies I was able to get in touch with the hosting company Fibernet who gave me access to those files now I just have to figure out where to find the codes or whatever it is I need to change email login--->username login.
