upgrade only part of 1.3.8 database to 1.3.9h

i am in the middle of upgrading to the latest version but i am not keeping all of the modules i have installed on my previous version, all i am really interested in keeping is customers and products and anything with involved past orders and history etc because i starting from scratch seeing as most of the modules i do need to keep have ewer versions specific to 1.3.9, can someone please tell me which specific parts of the database i needs as when i imported my customers and products i had no order history show up so i think im missing something?

I would recommend you uninstall your unwanted modules first. Then upgrade. Then install the newer versions. I just moved my site to a new server and did NOT do this. I sincerely wish I had.

im in the process of building it up from scratch so i will have a complete running site set up on a sub domain before i even think of transferring it over, but with some modules (my site is very heavily modified) its going to be easier to start again and re-install everything i need, im pretty sure i have a great number of scraps left over from uninstalled modules and id quite like this to be a fresh start so im pretty sure this is what i want to do but i do thank you for your input, its much appreciated :)
