2 ZC installs in a single web host account

Can I run 2 separate websites within the same ZC install, or would I have to have a separate ZC install for each of the 2 websites?

You will need 2 installs
One each for each domain space

Sub directories are usually better, otherwise you're nesting one site within another. But the definitive answer would depend on how you have your domains arranged with respect to your hosting account.

i.e.

_ZC 1 (95)
_ZC 2 (95)

Run them out of different folders

i.e.

Tony.com/Store 1
Tony.com/Store 2

YES finally success!! Two operational and unique websites with individual databases within the same host account, with web addresses containing just the domain name(http://*.com)...AWESOME!

Installing the second domain name as a sub, making sure the name servers pointed correctly and installing each ZC in its respective root did the trick.

and another shop can be in the same DB prefixed as in
zen2_address
zen2_customers
zen2_products
