customers cant check out and I cant get to admin

I cant get into my admin site and the actual site works except customers cant login or go to shopping cart. All this happened after trying to get Blank_Sideboxes to work. I used my local files to update my server files so I have no working backup. Customers can browse site but cant make purchase.

Well , if you have been doing this for "years", then I will assume that you ALWAYS take a backup before embarking upon making a change

Restore your backup and then step through adding the blank side box again step by step

Adding a sidebox should not cause what you are seeing

But like I mentioned, I was using my backup (local files) to make the changes and then uploaded to server.

That is another issue

You ahould ALWAYS have a backup or make one before adding anything to your file set

SO...now use your FTP Client and check all your files sorted by modified date and seek those modified about the time this quit working
