    red flag Paypal Australia Communications?

Hi I have IPN payment notifications set up to communicate with Zen Cart. I have checked, checked and checked again and all settings appear to be absolutely correct for both paypal and the zen cart to communicate with each other and paypal to send notifications to the shopping cart about orders processed.

After alot of fiddling around trying to get paypal to communicate with the zen cart (I have done this lots of times before with zen cart as I build sites using zen cart professionally on a daily basis) I have come to the conclusion that it might actually be the location of the paypal account that is having to communicate with the zen cart set up.

The paypal account is an Australian account, the server where the zen cart set up is in UK or America and I'm wondering if the reason why we're not receiving communications is down to locations and time zones rather than a fault. Would this be the case with everything being located in a few locations?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks

    Nick

It surprises me that there'd be any problem with such communications.

However, the IPN module is antiquated, and the Express Checkout method is far more reliable and is the recommended method to use. I suggest going that route first.
