Taxes not working right

Just had a customer make a purchase. hes from texas and im in california, but it still charged him the sales tax. Any ideas why that might have happened?

i looked over all my tax info and everything seems to be correct. im at a loss but i want to get this fixed before i upload all my new products. thank you for your time.

Go to your Zone Definitions and check your DETAILS and make sure you have that set for:
Country: United States
Zone: California

Thanks for the update that adding the details of what the Zone Definition should be using has things working correctly ...

Without the details, all that Zone Definition does is sit there and do nothing ...
