Extremely Slow when in Checkout Process

I thought I'd open a thread on this and see if anyone else has had any experience with this complication. I have successfully installed paypal express checkout and paypal website pro. I have successfully completed transactions; however, the checkout process on my site is extremely slow. I am using SSL for the checkout - https://shop.auroraenterprise.com/in...e=checkout_out and that seems to be quiet slower than surfing around the site with the normal http://

After looking at the log files, there doesn't seem to be any fatal complications or error messages. Regardless, it's a very slow process, one that is not very user friendly. Would this be a problem to address with my server or could there be other complications with my zen cart that might be slowing down the process? Has anyone experienced slow checkout process before?

Also,

I do have my site set up through a sub-domain: http://shop.auroraenterprise.com or SSL:
https://shop.auroraenterprise.com

After doing some searches on the forum it seems that it shouldn't matter if the site using on a subdomain or not as long as everything is configured correctly.

Would anyone have any insight on this topic, and/or would it affect the speed of the checkout process or ssl domain?

Your whole site appears slow

Try enabling parse time display to monitor for awhile

admin > config > logging > Display The Page Parse Time > set to true

I enabled the log file and have taken a survey of some page views and their load times over the last couple hours.

It seems that the site is a little quicker now, so I don't know if it was my host server or what. I contacted them, they said everything was good from their end.

I averaged about 50 page views (probably skewed as most came from me and I'm sure a lot of my images where cached) put I got on average about 1.33902s/page

Don't know if that's good, seems significantly faster than it was before...

idk might have to keep an eye on it.

Actually I stated to enable "Display The Page Parse Time"

But how is your https speed now?
